I discovered a passion- writing. I began writing in 2011 while attending graduate school. Since then, my focus has shifted to writing to cover two passions of mine; leadership and veteran related stories (especially those involving mental health topics).

I frequently donate to a variety of non-profit organizations that aid veterans and first responders. I later realized I could be more helpful by writing about non-profit organizations to bring awareness to those who need it.

Tom & Jen Satterly
Best selling author Tom Satterly is a retired Delta force operator who was in the Battle of Mogadishu and later hunted down Iraq's Deck of Cards. After a career of military service he battled Post Traumatic Stress. He nearly took his own life until his wife Jen committed her life to helping him overcome PTS. Together they now dedicate their lives to helping our nations warriors with the All Secure Foundation.

Brad THOMAS
Brad Thomas, retired Delta operator, put his promising music career on hold to serve his country. After retirement, he joined forces with other veterans and created an up and coming rock band, Silence & Light, whose proceeds go directly to support a fantastic non-profit organization, Warrior's Heart. Popular NYC patriot artist is not only extremely gifted, he's also not afraid to challenge authority and call them out publicly, especially politicians with absurd agendas. Jay dobyns
Retired ATF agent Jay Dobyns spent years infiltrating the Hells Angel motorcycle gang. He recounts wild tales, brushes with death and personal struggles living a double life. It was all retold in his NY Times best-selling book, No Angel, available on Amazon.
Joaquin "Jack" Garcia
Retired FBI Agent Joaquin "Jack" Garcia infiltrated the notorious Gambino Crime Family of New York City and took down over 50 hardened gangsters. Lt. Clint Lorance
1st Lieutenant Clint Lorance made a split second decision to help save the lives of his soldiers in Afghanistan. The flawed military justice system disagreed with his decision and sentenced him to 19 years in prison. Five years into his sentence, then President Trump recognized the political case and issued him a full pardon. In part due to the help on non profit, UAP.org.
Mike Sarraille
Retired Navy SEAL Mike Sarraille found incredible therapeutic effects after a skydive from Mt. Everest. Other veterans reached out to join him on a similar future adventure. But he decided to go much bigger. He and his team went on to set a new skydiving world record to raise money for the veteran & first responder community with Folds of Honor.

AARON HOWARD
Navy Seal Team 6 member Aaron Howard was charged with 'Catfishing'. He remains adamant about his innocence and was another victim of the flawed UCMJ system. Although his case started years ago, he is still fighting to clear his name and get what he's earned after a career in the Seal teams. Read more about him on the Pipe Hitter Foundation website.
Jeremy spencer
Founding drummer of Five Finger Death Punch has had a turbulent past with the stereotypical drugs, sex and rock n roll. He now carries a message of living a clean life while still involved in music with @Psychosynner. His longstanding support of the military and first responder community still remains strong.
Hero hunt, inc
Tennessee based Hero Hunt Inc provides hunting, fishing and other awesome outdoor activities for the military, first responder and LEO community but specifically for those injured while on duty. Zechariah Cartledge
Wonder kid Zechariah has been running one mile to honor a first responder killed in the line of duty. His family has expanded to now include grants for those injured in the line of duty. Since the publishing of this article, Zechariah has surpassed 1000 miles and continues to raise money and awareness. His motivation was originally inspired by the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Irreverent warriors
This non profit veteran organization's motto is "to bring veterans together using humor and camaraderie to improve mental health and prevent veteran suicide." After attending their signature event, a Silkie's Hike, I noticed it was a perfect blend of fun, professionalism and espirit de corp. Valhalla's mission force
Navy Seal veteran James 'Jimmy' Hintzke retired from the Navy after 30 years. Looking for purpose, Jimmy picked up woodworking and discovered the therapeutic affects it was having. He expanded on that idea and started a business but didn't settle there. Understanding how PTS affects law enforcement, he wanted to help them, and is now doing incredible work with Valhalla Mission Force. Follow his Instagram page HERE

Veteran Mitch Kriebel was moments away from taking his own life. His wife had a bad feeling and walked in on him during the attempt. He sought help and eventually found his calling, ruck marching. Veteran Pete Scott was diagnosed with a severe form of Post Traumatic Stress and saw no way out. It wasn't until he discovered farming that he finally found real relief. CHRIS FIELDS
Retired Oklahoma City Firefighter Chris Fields, was captured carrying a deceased child in this iconic, Pulitzer prize winning photograph of the tragic Oklahoma City Bombing. Chris later suffered severe effects of Post Traumatic Stress. With the support of his friends and family, Chris sought help and lives a much happier life- a truly inspiring story.
